KSDK -- A mother who has been on a mission to help fund postage for packages shipped to troops will be honored Thursday morning for her service.
Dee Mills is the founder of Lea's Prayer and Postage. She was inspired when her son Lea was killed serving in Iraq to start the organization which funds postage for care packages shipped to the troops.
Dee will be the fifth inductee in the Energizer Keep Going Hall of Fame, joining previous inductees Cal Ripken Jr., John O'Leary of St. Louis, MO, Melanie Goldish of Chicago, IL and Ron Bachman of Plymouth, MI.
National Baseball Hall of Famer, Ripken, will officiate the induction at Energizer's Headquarters at 533 Maryville University Drive in St. Louis. Dee will be presented with an award, $10,000 and a $5,000 donation to her program.
Ripken and Mills stopped by Today in St. Louis Thursday morning to preview the ceremony. Click on the video link to watch his interview with NewsChannel 5's Jennifer Blome.
