KSDK -- Fredbird is helping to get kids pumped up about reading!

The Cardinals mascot was at St. Nicholas Preschool for the kickoff of Jumpstart's Read for the Record. He visited with students and sat with them as they read 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.'
The goal of the campaign is to get preschool children to come together and to read the same book, on the same day, in communities around the world.
In 2008, the campaign broke its own world record as nearly 700,000 readers shared the classic children's book, 'Corduroy.'
